PowerChart
Touch

PowerChart Touch was one of the early native mobile EHR experiences designed specifically for physicians. Launched by Cerner in 2012, it was described by Cerner as the “first of a new generation of physician applications,” bringing core clinical workflows from the desktop EHR to the iPad. The goal was to create a faster, easier, more intuitive experience that allowed physicians to access patient information and complete key workflows wherever care happened.

I helped design the experience around real physician workflows, including reviewing patient charts and recent care, placing orders and prescriptions, documenting findings, managing medications, and using gesture and voice interactions to make common tasks faster and more natural. The product went from concept to production in less than a year, reached 13 early-adopter clients in its first year, and received a 2013 International User Experience Award for Best Clinical Healthcare Experience.
